PM Modi meets Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein Prince Alois in New Delhi on Friday at the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026. External Affairs Ministry said that during the meeting, both leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation in various areas. They agreed to promote deeper collaboration between India and Liechtenstein, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, and emerging technologies, including AI, innovation and skill development building on the momentum of the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). In a social media post, Prime Minister Modi said they discussed the strong potential of economic linkages between both nations, particularly after the India-EFTA and cooperation in areas such as innovation, technology, and skilling, among others. 
       
The Prime Minister also held a bilateral meeting with President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini, on the sidelines of the summit. They reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in areas including trade and investment, digital technologies, defence, space, energy, culture and people-to-people linkages. Both leaders welcomed the fresh momentum in ties generated by the adoption of the landmark India-EU FTA and the India-EU Joint Comprehensive Strategic Agenda 2030. The leaders agreed to further strengthen India- Slovak Republic relations for mutual benefit, especially in the digital sector.
       
Prime Minister Modi also held a bilateral meeting with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on the sidelines of the Summit. In a social media post, Mr. Modi said they discussed avenues of cooperation in areas such as energy, connectivity, infrastructure, healthcare, skilling, culture, blue economy and more. The leaders also took stock of the progress in India-Sri Lanka relations in recent times
 
Prime Minister also held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam on the sidelines of the Summit. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to work closely to further strengthen India-Mauritius Enhanced Strategic Partnership, particularly in harnessing emerging technologies for the progress and prosperity of peoples of both countries. Both leaders reviewed the key pillars of India-Mauritius bilateral partnership, including progress under the Special Economic Package. Prime Minister reiterated India’s steadfast commitment to Mauritius’ development priorities under Vision MAHASAGAR and Neighbourhood First policy.
       
During the meeting with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Prime Minister Modi, they exchanged perspectives on UN reforms, especially giving greater voice to the Global South. The leaders also talked about making AI all inclusive and how the UN can play a constructive role in this regard. Mr Modi reiterated India’s support towards any effort aimed at harnessing AI for a better planet.
