PM Modi issues strong warning to perpetrators behind Delhi blast, assures justice for victims, will go to bottom of the conspiracy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, the conspirators behind the Delhi car blast will not be spared and the probe agencies investigating it will get to the bottom of the case and bring those responsible for it to justice. Addressing an event marking the 70th birth anniversary of Bhutan’s former king Jigme Singye Wangchuck, Prime Minister Modi said, he came to Thimpu with a “heavy heart” in view of the incident in Delhi. The prime minister said,  throughout last night, he was in touch with the probe agencies investigating the blast. 
 
 
 
 
The King of Bhutan, in the presence of Prime Minister Modi, also led a prayer, with thousands of Bhutanese, for the victims of the Delhi’s Red Fort blast, at the Changlimithang Stadium. 
 
 
 
Mr Modi said, his Majesty The Fourth King of Bhutan has played a pivotal role in strengthening the friendship between India and Bhutan. On behalf of all Indians, the Prime Minister extended heartfelt greetings to His Majesty and wished him good health and a long life. 
 
 
 
 
Prime Minister Modi reached Thimpu this morning on a two day visit to Bhutan on a two-day visit this morning. During his address, the Prime Minister unveiled plans to construct an integrated immigration checkpoint near Bhutan’s border town of Gelephu to facilitate the smooth movement of visitors and investors between the two countries. He said, Gelephu and Samtse would be connected to India’s railway network, saying the project would improve market access for Bhutanese industries and farmers. He emphasised, India and Bhutan are not just connected by borders, they are  connected by cultures. Our relationship is one of values, emotions, peace and  progress.
 
 
 
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held delegation-level talks with Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck in Thimphu today. Later, Prime Minister Modi and Bhutan’s King, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck (the current Druk Gyalpo) jointly inaugurated the Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project, in the presence of the Sacred Buddha Relics. The 1020 MW Punatsangchhu-II project is a significant milestone in the long-standing energy cooperation between India and Bhutan.  
 
 
 
 
The Prime Minister said, energy cooperation remains a key pillar of the India-Bhutan partnership. Hesaid, the inauguration of the Punatsangchhu-II Hydropower Project is an enduring symbol of friendship between the two countries.
 
 
 
 
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi also offered prayers to the relics as part of the spiritual and cultural events marking the 70th birth anniversary of the Fourth King of Bhutan, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
