Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving special emphasis to the development of North Eastern states, ensuring they move forward in tandem with the rest of the country. This is said by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol in Tripura.
The Union Minister today chaired a district-level review meeting on various government development initiatives at the Khowai District Magistrate’s office. During the meeting, he conducted a detailed review of the implementation status of major Central government schemes, including the Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), Jal Jeevan Mission, and Swachh Bharat Mission, as well as initiatives related to education and health. He sought updates from departmental heads regarding the effective execution and progress of these projects in the district.
After an hour-long review session, Shri Mohol informed the media that the functioning of various departments in Khowai district was progressing smoothly and satisfactorily.
On the occasion, the Union Minister handed over the keys of an ambulance to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) authorities. He also visited a stall set up by a Self-Help Group and interacted with members of the ‘Lakhpati Didis’ initiative. Later, he inspected several ongoing development projects at different locations in the district.
