PM Modi Interacts with 20 Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Awardees on Veer Bal Diwas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is participating in the national programme marking Veer Baal Diwas at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. On the occasion, Mr Modi interacted with the 20 awardees of Rashtriya Bal Puraskar. Addressing the function, Mr Modi said, today the country remembers the exemplary courage and sacrifice of the Sahibzades, who are the pride of the country. He said, they embody India’s indomitable courage and the highest ideals of valour.
 
 
PM Modi added that the Sahibzades broke the limits of age and stood like a rock before the cruel Mughals, shaking religious fundamentalism and terror. Mr Modi said, over the past four years, the Veer Bal Diwas has carried the inspirations and sacrifices of the Sahibzadas to the younger generation. Prime Minister said, the courage and ideals of Mata Gujri Ji, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the four Sahibzades continue to give strength to every Indian.
 
 
Speaking on the occasion, Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi urged the children to adopt the ideology of Nation First as the guiding mantra of their lives. She emphasised that children are the change-makers of a developed country. The Minister said that with the right opportunities and proper guidance, the country’s children can turn even the impossible into reality. She added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the dream of a Viksit Bharat is taking shape, and the citizens of the country are actively participating in the journey of nation-building. The Minister said, Veer Bal Diwas reminds the country of the indomitable courage of Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh ji, whose supreme sacrifice has immortalised a glorious chapter in the history of Indian culture.
