Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that despite global disruptions and uncertainty, India’s growth remains remarkable. Inaugurating Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show in Greater Noida this morning, Mr Modi said, disruption does not distract the country, but it finds new direction and new opportunities within those circumstances. He said, amidst these disruptions, today India is strengthening the foundation for the coming decades and in this lies the country’s resolve, the mantra of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Mr Modi said India must become self-reliant. He said, Every product that can be made in India should be made in India. The Prime Minister said the government is focusing on Make In India and aims to make chips to ships in the country. He stated that a vibrant defence sector is being developed in the country, creating an ecosystem where every component bears the mark of Made in India. Mr Modi said, production of AK-203 rifles will soon commence at a factory established with Russian collaboration. He added that a Defence Corridor is being developed in Uttar Pradesh, where the manufacturing of BrahMos missiles and other weapon systems has already begun. Mr Modi said India has created open platforms like UPI, Aadhaar, DigiLocker, and ONDC, which are taking everyone along and giving opportunities to everyone. He said, it means platforms for all and progress for all. Mr Modi said, today, through the Government e-Marketplace GeM portal, around 25 lakh sellers and service providers are providing supplies to the government. He said, These are small shopkeepers and traders who can sell their products to the government. The Prime Minister said that, in earlier governments, this was impossible to even consider, but today even a small shopkeeper is selling their goods through this portal. He said, India is moving forward to achieve its goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Affirming that India stands firmly with its industries, traders, and citizens, driven by the commitment to Reform, Perform, and Transform, Mr Modi highlighted that just three days ago, next-generation GST reforms were implemented. He described the reforms as structural changes, saying they will propel India’s growth story. He added that these reforms will simplify GST registration, reduce tax disputes, and accelerate refunds for MSMEs, benefiting every sector. The Prime Minister expressed happiness that over 2200 exhibitors are showcasing their products and services in UPITS. He said, Russia is the country partner of this year’s Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show. Mr Modi said, India is strengthening a time-tested partnership through this trade show.
Addressing the event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, UP International Trade Show is a very big platform showcasing Uttar Pradesh before the nation and the world.
