Prime Minister Narendra Modi held series of bilateral meetings with world leaders yesterday on the sidelines of the ongoing India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. The Prime Minister met French President Emmanuel Macron, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Netharlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof, President of Switzerland Guy Parmelin and his counterpart from the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Prime Minister Modi expressed satisfaction at the progress achieved in various fields. Recalling the historical ties that underpin India-UAE ties, they also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in Artificial Intelligence. Both sides welcomed some initiatives, which set the stage for enhancing bilateral cooperation in traditional as well as new areas of cooperation.
With his Dutch counterpart, Prime Minister Modi exchanged views for harnessing AI as an enabler for economic and social transformation. Noting the conclusion of India-EU FTA negotiations, they reiterated their commitment to work for its early implementation. They also committed to strengthen global fight against terrorism.
Prime Minister Modi and President of Switzerland Guy Parmelin discussed strengthening collaboration in the economic sphere, including trade, investment and technology and future-ready partnerships in AI innovation.
Prime Minister Modi and his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis, reviewed various aspects of India-Greece strategic partnership, especially in the field of trade and commerce, defence and security and collaboration in AI and other emerging technologies. Mr Modi also thanked Mr Mitsotakis for his strong support to India in its fight against terrorism.
