Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the driving force behind India’s integration, thus shaping the nation’s destiny in its formative years.

In a social media post on the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, Mr Modi said that Patel’s unwavering commitment to national integrity, good governance and public service continues to inspire generations.

The Prime Minister called upon citizens to reaffirm the collective resolve to uphold Sardar Patel’s vision of a united, strong and self-reliant India.
