Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended his good wishes to the people on the occasion of Kharna Puja, a significant ritual observed on the second day of Chhath Mahaparv. In a social media post, Mr Modi paid respectful homage to all those observing the rigorous fasts and rituals associated with this sacred festival. The Prime Minister further added that the festival symbolizes faith and restraint. He said that this occasion has a tradition of eating jaggery-based kheer as prasad.
