Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greeting to the countrymen on the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Diwas today.

In a social media post, Mr Modi wished all those who have been positively impacted by the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana.

Highlighting the impact of Jan Aushadhi Kendras, the Prime Minister said that countless families are saving on healthcare expenses and receiving proper treatment.

He added that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring citizens with access to quality medicines at affordable prices.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his greetings to all beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Yojana on Jan Aushadhi Diwas today.

In a social media post, Mr Shah said that this initiative of the central government has relieved the poor of the country from the financial burden of medicines and spread awareness about generic medicines.

He said that today around 18 thousand Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country are providing affordable and accessible medicines to the poor and needy. Mr Shah said that this scheme has saved the countrymen over 40 thousand crore rupees.
