Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed grief over the passing of former Member of Parliament and Union Minister Kabindra Purkayastha. In a social media post, Mr Modi said, Mr Purkayastha’s dedication to social service and his contributions to the progress of Assam will always be remembered. The Prime Minister also said that Mr. Purkayastha played an important role in strengthening the BJP across the state.
