Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving head of a government in India, surpassing the record of former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling. He noted that the Prime Minister has completed 8,931 days in public office, first as Chief Minister of Gujarat and now as Prime Minister.
