Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his wishes on the occasion of Raising Day of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that the country extends deepest appreciation to the men and women whose professionalism and resolve stand tall in moments of crisis. The Prime Minister added that when a calamity strikes, the NDRF personnel work tirelessly to protect lives, provide relief and restore hope under the most challenging circumstances. Mr Modi further said that the skills and sense of duty of NDRF personnel exemplify the highest standards of service. He also highlighted that over the years, the NDRF has emerged as a benchmark in disaster preparedness and response, earning much respect internationally.

Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah extended greetings to personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Raising Day today. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that the NDRF has become the pillar of trust the nation relies on during calamities. The Minister added that the response force plays a significant role in realising the government’s resolve to build a disaster-resilient country. He further saluted the martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the safety of others.
