Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy and Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar termed the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, a boon for farmers as it is transforming their agricultural journey. The ministers virtually attended the programme in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, transferring over 20 thousand crore rupees to nearly 10 crore eligible farmers from Varanasi.
Addressing farmers at Yacharam in Ranga Reddy district, after the transfer of funds to the bank accounts of farmers, Kishan Reddy said the government is ensuring that the farmers are not burdened with prices of fertilizer and giving more than two thousand rupees on a bag of Urea and DAP each. He said the rates and subsidies of fertilizers are being printed on each bag to create awareness among farmers.
Speaking at the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Utsav Diwas held at Choppadandi in Karimnagar district, MoS Home Sanjay Kumar said the Modi government has the distinction of spending about 71 lakh crore rupees during the past 11 years on the welfare of farmers, agriculture, and allied sectors. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has faced numerous challenges but continued to implement several initiatives with the goal of empowering farmers and making them prosperous. He said over 13 thousand crore rupees has been deposited into the bank accounts of over 30 lakh farmers in Telangana.
