In Maharashtra, sate-level programme under the Prime Minister’s Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana will be held tomorrow in Pune, covering nine districts.
The event will be chaired by the state’s Agriculture Minister, Dattatray Bharane, at the District Central Cooperative Bank Auditorium. The districts selected for this initiative are Palghar, Raigad, Dhule, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Nanded, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli. The programme aims to boost farmers’ incomes, promote self-reliance, and strengthen crop productivity. It will also focus on encouraging crop diversification and supporting farmers with modern agricultural technologies.
The Minister emphasized that the focus in these districts will be on grain storage, processing, irrigation improvements, sustainable farming, and creating local employment opportunities. Over 300 progressive and innovative farmers are expected to attend the event.
Mr. Bharane also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for including Maharashtra in this ambitious, farmer-friendly initiative.
