Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met Minister-President of Flanders, Matthias Diependaele in New Delhi on Friday. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that Flanders played a pivotal role in shaping India-Belgium relations, particularly in trade, ports and logistics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and clean and advanced technologies. Both the countries reaffirmed their commitment to deepening economic partnership, innovation collaboration and people-to-people ties between India and Flanders. Flanders is a Dutch-speaking area in the northern region of Belgium, and one of three Belgian regions.
