Philosophy is rooted in India’s culture & civilizational values, says Union Minister G Kishan Reddy

Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, said integral humanism offers India an indigenous and lasting alternative to Western ideological models. He said the philosophy is rooted in India’s culture and civilizational values.

Addressing the BJP’s  Ekatma Manav Darshan National Convention at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada today, the Union Minister said the venue holds historic importance. He recalled that Deendayal Upadhyaya articulated the philosophy of Integral Humanism at the same place in 1965. He said gathering there after 60 years was a moment of pride.

The Union Minister said that after Independence, India was pushed towards Western ideologies such as capitalism, socialism, and communism. He said these models were alien to India’s social structure and traditions. He said many capitalist nations are facing economic and social crises. Communist countries, he added, have moved away from their own ideology.

Mr Reddy said Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Integral Humanism presents a balanced approach. He said the philosophy focuses on harmony between the individual, society, and the nation. The Union Minister said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been implementing the principles of Integral Humanism for the last 12 years, helping provide long-term solutions to national challenges. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s bronze statue was inaugurated on the occasion.

Union Minister for State B. Srinivasa Varma, State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, BJP National President B L Santhosh, AP BJP Chief Madhav, and several others were present.
