Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today congratulated Numaligarh Refinery Limited for processing over three thousand 113 Thousand Metric Tonnes of crude in fiscal year 2025-26. In a social media post, Mr Puri said that the capacity is 103% utilization, the refinery’s highest-ever throughput, and it is beyond its rated 3 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum capacity for the second consecutive year. The Minister said that LPG production ramped up over 22% in March 2026 alone, responding precisely when the country needed it most. He described the refinery as a strategic national asset and said it is transforming the Northeast into an engine of India’s energy security.
