As per media reports, authorities said three people have been released, but added that the situation is not over yet.
Police announced the hostage release in a social media message. They gave no further details about whether more hostages remained in the club.
Police added they had cleared off a cordon around the cafe and asked the public to stay away from the scene.
The owner of the club told a national newspaper that among the hostages were employees working at the cafe.
