A Paskistani Hindu woman gave birth to a girl child soon after reaching the Integrated Check Post in India after crossing over from the Attari-Wagah Joint Checkpost last evening. Born to Maya, the little girl has been named Bharti as a symbolic gesture derived from Bharat, identifying the country of birth.
She and her husband are part of a group of 149 Pakistani Hindus who have come to India on a 25-day visa to visit Delhi, Haridwar, Ahmedabad and Jodhpur.
Two years ago, a baby boy was born to a Pakistani Hindu couple who were on a visit to India along with a group. He was named ‘Border’.
