In Pakistan, nine people were killed in rain-related incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces as heavy rain and strong winds caused widespread damage. Six deaths and more than 30 injuries were reported in Bannu in a rain-triggered building collapse, including a mosque veranda that killed three people and a house collapse that killed three children. In Lahore, two people also died in a roof collapse, while a motorcyclist was killed in Bahawalpur after slipping on a rain-soaked road. Officials warned of more rain, strong winds and possible flash flooding in the coming days.
