Over 8,000 kg of Narcotics Worth ₹381 Crore Destroyed in Bharuch

In a major step towards a ‘Drugs-Free India’, over 8,000 kilograms of narcotics worth more than 381 crore rupees were destroyed today in Bharuch in the presence of Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi. During the event, Mr Sanghavi announced the formal establishment of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, headquartered in Gandhinagar with six zonal offices, dedicated to tackling narcotics crimes. During the programme, 92 police personnel were felicitated with collective cash rewards of 29.67 lakh rupees for exemplary work in seven major drug cases.
