Over 6 Lakh Trained in CPR During Nationwide Awareness Week: Health Ministry

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has said that over six lakh six thousand participants across the Country were imparted CPR Training (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) during CPR Awareness Week. The Ministry organized a pan-India CPR Awareness Week from the 13th to 17th of this month to enhance public understanding and practical capacity in Compression-only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. The Ministry said that a series of activities were organized throughout the week to ensure widespread participation and awareness generation. Over 14 thousand participants joined the inaugural live pledge and CPR demonstration event through the ECHO platform and YouTube Live.
 
 
It added that nearly 79 thousand individuals took digital pledge through the MyGov platform, highlighting their commitment to CPR awareness. To engage citizens digitally, a CPR Quiz was also hosted on the MyGov and MyBharat platforms, in which more than 36 thousand participants took part. The Health and Family Welfare Ministry informed that during the week over 7.47 lakh citizens engaged through Multi-Modal CPR Awareness Activities.
