Over 5 crore 33 lakh SIR enumeration forms digitised in Madhya Pradesh

Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is progressing at a rapid pace across Madhya Pradesh. 
 
Akashvani correspondent reports, under the directions of the Election Commission, the digitalisation of enumeration forms under SIR is being carried out swiftly in Madhya Pradesh. Six districts-Ashoknagar, Neemuch, Betul, Guna, Mandla, and Sehore-have achieved 100 percent completion.
 
Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar Jha informed that over 5 crore 33 lakh enumeration forms have been digitalised so far, covering nearly 93 percent of the total work.
 
He appreciated the collective efforts of government staff, BLOs, and citizens, stating that their cooperation has enabled the work to move ahead at a record pace.
 
A total of 39 districts have crossed the 95 percent mark, while five districts have completed over 92 percent, reflecting commendable performance across the state.
 
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has issued the revised schedule for SIR. As per the new timeline:
 
BLOs will fill the enumeration forms till 11 December 2025. The draft electoral roll will be published on 16 December 2025.
 
Claims and objections will be accepted from 16 December 2025 to 15 January 2026, Verification of documents will continue till 7 February 2026, and the final electoral roll will be published on 14 February 2026.
