In Haryana, on International Yoga Day, a state-level Yoga Day function was organized in Kurukshetra, in which more than one lakh people performed yoga asanas simultaneously. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh, Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Health Minister Arti Rao, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Haryana Yoga Commission Jaideep Arya participated in the event. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced from the stage to build yoga gymnasiums in the state and a yoga center in Ayush University located in Kurukshetra. The Chief Minister said that yoga will also be included in the university curriculum. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is that India should become a developed country by 2047, in which yoga will also play a role.
