Opposition parties continued to obstruct the House of Representatives (HoR) business today, demanding the Home Minister’s resignation over the visa scam. The obstruction by the opposition has continued for the past two weeks. In the session today afternoon, lawmakers representing the opposition, including the CPN (Maoist Centre), stood from their respective seats, demanding Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak step down from the post. The HoR session was postponed before it could enter its agenda. Despite several rounds of meetings between the ruling and opposition parties on resolving the issue, a consensus has not been reached yet. The session has been rescheduled for 3:00 pm tomorrow.
