He further highlighted that the country, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is moving towards indigenisation.
Mr Seth noted that New India is now exporting arms and ammunition to 92 countries across the world. He underscored that the country’s defence exports have crossed 23,622 crore rupees, while defence production has surpassed one lakh 51 thousand crore rupees. He also remembered the sacrifice of the martyrs who laid down their lives in the 1971 war that marked India’s victory over Pakistan, leading to Bangladesh’s liberation.
On the occasion, the Minister also conferred the Pride of Nation Awards 2025 on India’s finest institutions for their exceptional contributions beyond academics.
