One more Indian-flagged LPG tanker Green Sanvi on way to India after crossing war-affected Strait of Hormuz

One more Indian-flagged LPG tanker, Green Sanvi, has crossed the war-affected Strait of Hormuz and is now en route to India. Government sources said that Green Sanvi has become the seventh India-bound LPG tanker to cross the Strait of Hormuz since the West Asia conflict began.

A total of 17 Indian-flagged vessels with more than 400 Indian seafarers remain in the western Persian Gulf region. The Directorate General of Shipping, in coordination with shipowners and Indian Missions, is actively monitoring the situation. The DG Shipping Control Room remains operational 24×7 and has handled four thousand 984 calls and more than ten thousand emails since activation. It has facilitated the safe repatriation of over one thousand 130 Indian seafarers so far, from airports and various regional locations across the Gulf.
