In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army Captain was among two soldiers killed in an IED blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu on Tuesday.
Akashvani correspondent reports that a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast was reported in the Laleali area in the Akhnoor sector during a fence patrol, resulting in two fatalities.
Army troops are dominating the area and search operations are underway. The White Knight Corps salutes and pays tribute to the supreme sacrifice of two gallant soldiers.
Lt General M V Suchindra Kumar, Army Commander Northern Command and all ranks of Dhruva Command solemnly salute the supreme sacrifice of brave hearts Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi and Naik Mukesh in a suspected IED blast in Akhnoor.
Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha also paid tributes to Army Bravehearts, who laid down their lives in the line of duty in Akhnoor Sector.
The LG said, “I salute the supreme sacrifice of our Army bravehearts who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Their valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The entire nation stands firmly with the family of the martyrs in this hour of grief”.
