NSCN-K linked to 13 killings, 51 criminal activities: MHA

Ministry of Home Affairs today declared the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang), along with all its factions, wings and front organisations, as an unlawful association with immediate effect from the 28th of this month, for a period of five years.

 

In a Gazette Notification, the ministry said that the association is involved in activities which are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India. It stated that the association has been involved in killing thirteen UG cadres in police or security forces action and fifty-one other criminal activities.

 

The ministry said that it also aligned itself with other unlawful associations like the United Liberation Front of Asom- Independent, People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-PREPAK and People’s Liberation Army-PLA.
