To ensure smooth and hassle-free travel during the Holi festival, the Jammu Railway Division of Northern Railways has announced the operation of special reserved trains from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Station to New Delhi and Varanasi in February-March 2026. The trains will halt at major stations en route, benefiting passengers from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
The move is aimed at managing the anticipated festive rush, improving ticket availability and ensuring safe and comfortable journeys for travelers. In addition, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a full-fare tourist train from Pratapnagar in Gujarat to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to promote pilgrimage tourism during the festive season.
