Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has assured the state Assembly that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders in the national capital. The Minister urged citizens not to spread rumours and said the department is working actively to curb black marketing and ensure smooth supply. He added that the situation has been normal over the past three weeks, with domestic and commercial cylinders being supplied on a priority basis, including to essential services like hospitals. He further assured that with the festive season approaching, there will be no shortage anywhere, and any complaints will be promptly addressed.
Meanwhile, the Union Petroleum Ministry said the Centre is prioritising Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and confirmed that petrol and diesel supplies remain adequate, with no change in prices. The government has also conducted 2,700 raids, seizing 2,000 cylinders amid black marketing and hoarding.
