No Parliamentary Sessions scheduled for weekend as per Advisory Committee

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has informed that both the Houses of Parliament will not meet on the coming Saturday and Sunday as decided earlier in the Business Advisory Committee. Speaking in both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha, Mr Rijiju said the passage of the Finance Bill was important for the government; hence, it had been decided that both the Houses would function on the weekend. The Minister said that Parliament will not meet tomorrow due to an official holiday. He said the government business will be brought to the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha on Friday. He said that the private business scheduled to be taken up on Friday will be adjusted later.

The Lok Sabha today passed the Finance Bill 2026 by voice vote.
