No nation can be considered truly secure unless its cultural foundation, values & identity are protected: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that no nation can be considered truly secure unless its cultural foundation, values and identity are protected. The Defence Minister was addressing the Pran Pratishtha and idol installation ceremony of Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj’s statue in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, today. He said that national security does not only mean protecting geographical borders, but that safeguarding cultural identity and civilizational consciousness is equally important.

Emphasising the role of the youth, the Defence Minister said that the future of any nation remains secure only when its young generation understands its past, recognises its core values and moves forward inspired by them. He said that when moral values are combined with technical knowledge, no one can weaken the nation.
