NITI Aayog today held a meeting to review and propose revisions to Outcome Group 2 (Nutrition and Food Security) under the Government of India-UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-2027. The session, chaired by Professor Ramesh Chand member of NITI Aayog, focused on strengthening collaboration, aligning national priorities with global goals, and maximizing the impact of nutrition and food security initiatives. UN Resident Coordinator in India, Shombi Sharp, attended the review along with senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Women and Child Development, and Department of Food and Public Distribution. Representatives from UN agencies also participated in the discussions. The mid-term review emphasized evidence-based policy interventions, improved coordination among stakeholders, and accelerated efforts to achieve the SDG targets on nutrition and food security by 2027.
