The National Human Rights Commission has issued notices to the District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Raipur, in the case of the reported death of three sanitation workers while cleaning a septic tank at a private hospital in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Taking suo motu cognisance, the NHRC has asked for a detailed report on the matter within two weeks. According to media reports, the incident took place on the 17th of this month.
