The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary of Delhi for an infant’s death due to lack of facilities after delivery in the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) under the Delhi Government. The commission has asked for a detailed report on the matter within two weeks. NHRC has taken suo motu cognizance of the media report stating that a destitute patient’s baby died due to lack of facilities after delivery in the hospital.
