The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has achieved robust growth in National Highway Development during the Financial Year 2025-26. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways informed that NHAI constructed over five thousand three hundred kilometres of National Highways, which is about 15% higher than the target of four thousand six hundred forty kilometres for the year. It added that the capital expenditure by NHAI in Financial Year 2025-26 for the development of National Highway infrastructure was over two lakh forty-four thousand crore rupees, which is 2.5% higher than the Government Budgetary Support for the year.
