President Droupadi Murmu will address the commemoration of Human Rights Day at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, tomorrow. The event organised by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) underscores the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

 

As part of the observance, NHRC will host a National Conference on Ensuring Everyday Essentials: Public Services and Dignity for All, aligned with this year’s theme Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials.

 

Principal Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr P. K. Mishra will deliver the keynote address, with two thematic sessions focusing on universal, equitable and dignified access to public services.

 

The conference will bring together representatives from State Human Rights Commissions, national commissions, government officials, civil society, academia and other officials.
