Netaji’s policy of assertive diplomacy & strategic realism is more relevant than ever: CDS General Anil Chauhan

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan today said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose demonstrated a close relationship among political vision, diplomacy, and military operations.

Addressing the students of Jawaharlal Nehru University on the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, General Chauhan said, even today, as the nation navigates this polycentric, unstable, and uncertain global disorder, Netaji’s policy of assertive diplomacy and strategic realism is more relevant than ever. He noted that the Indian National Army was an expression of unity and diversity because its organisation transcended region, caste, religion or gender.

Highlighting the concept of national security, he said, it is about securing the three elements which constitute a nation-state, that is, land, people and ideology of that particular state. General Chauhan further said, Post Operation Sindoor, all three defence forces are working towards a framework that thinks and ideates about how warfare will evolve in the future.
