Vice President of Nepal Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav stresses that women entrepreneurs in Nepal are the driving force towards building a self-reliant, inclusive and sustainable society. Inaugurating the 9th International Women’s Trade Expo 2026 organised by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) at Jhamsikhel of Lalitpur on Friday, Vice President Yadav argued that Woman entrepreneurship plays the role of a carrier of social transformation and national development.
The fair has been organised with an aim of supporting the promotion and market of products of women entrepreneurs. More than 5700 women are now affiliated to the Federation and women entrepreneurs from different parts of Nepal participated with their products. The President gave the award to the Best Women Entrepreneur to Nirmala Mahto from Madhesh Pradesh and Outstanding Women Business Leader to Bhavani Rana. The Fair will run till April 5, acting as a platform to encourage district-level women entrepreneurs, take their products to market and make the national economy strong.
