Nepal set a target of 115 for India in the final of the inaugural SBI Women’s World Cup Cricket for the Blind in Colombo. Earlier, India won the toss and chose to field first. The Indian team made quick inroads, removing Nepal’s top order in the early overs and putting the batting side under pressure.

 

 

Nepal recovered through a steady stand between Bimala Rai and Sarita Ghimire, who kept the scoreboard moving and prevented further collapse. Their partnership helped Nepal post 114 for five in the allotted 20 overs, giving the side a competitive total in the title clash. India, who have been unbeaten in the tournament, now face a manageable chase.
