President of Nepal Ram Chandra Poudel administered oath of office and secrecy to two newly appointed ministers in Shital Niwas, Kathmandu. Dr Sudha Sharma Gautam becomes the new Minister of Health and Population, and Bablu Gupta, the Minister of Youth and Sports.

 

 

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, Speaker of the House of Representatives Dev Raj Ghimire, various ministers, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Rana, as well as heads and officials from constitutional bodies, senior officials of the Government of Nepal, and representatives from security agencies.

 

 

Minister for Health and Population, Dr Sudha Sharma Gautam today visited those injured during Gen Z protest and are receiving treatment in hospitals. 

 

 

Dr. Gautam previously served as the Secretary at the Ministry of Health, while  Bablu Gupta is recognized as a leader within the Gen-Z movement. Their appointments were made by President Paudel following the recommendation of Prime Minister Karki. With this latest expansion, the Cabinet, which was formed on September 12, now consists of 10 members.
