The House of Representatives of Nepal today held discussions on the government’s annual policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year. In this connection, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli tabled a proposal for discussion on the policies and programmes, which was presented by President Ramchandra Paudel before the joint sitting of the Federal Parliament on May 2. A total of 37 proposals have been registered in the parliament, demanding amendments to the government’s fresh policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2025-2026.
The lower house today convened the discussions on amendment proposals regarding the government’s policies and programmes. Opposition accused the government of failing to present clear visions and plans for the upcoming fiscal year, with lack of strong commitments to inclusion, social justice and good governance.
