NEET-UG paper leak case: Multiple suspects detained across several states 

 
In the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG) has so far detained 15 people.  Sources said with investigators now probing the extent of the suspected network and the money trail linked to the circulation of questions ahead of the examination. The SOG yesterday detained an alleged mastermind identified as Manish from Jaipur.
Earlier, as per the sources, the Rajasthan Police SOG arrested five persons from Dehradun, including the alleged mastermind, Sikar-based career counsellor Rakesh Kumar, on 7th May. Four NEET aspirants were also arrested the following day. Nashik Police have detained a man in connection with the NEET paper leak case. Deputy Commissioner of Police Kirankumar Chauhan said that Rajasthan Police had requested Nashik Police this morning to take an individual into custody in connection with the NEET examination paper leak case. Acting on the request, Crime Branch Unit 2 of Nashik Police nabbed the suspect. He added that a team from Rajasthan Police would soon arrive in the city to take custody of the accused.
