In Madhya Pradesh, at a farmers’ conference on natural farming held in Rewa, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that nearly 40 lakh farmers across the country have already adopted natural farming. He said he has personally experimented with natural farming on his own farm and witnessed an increase in production. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was also present on the occasion. Amit Shah visited the Basaman Mama Gaushala Project and said it is a guiding model for small farmers, where an entire natural farming system has been developed using cow dung.
The Union Minister said that natural farming helps increase farmers’ income, saves water, and reduces diseases caused by chemical fertilisers, benefiting both farmers and society. During the programme, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla also stressed the need to adopt natural farming to fulfil the vision of a developed India.
