The program, organized in collaboration with the GLOW Foundation and Mahila Haat, aimed to create more platforms and opportunities for women entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on empowering women from Sikkim and the Northeast.
Rai was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her active participation and valuable contribution to the discussions. The certificate was issued under the signature of Vijaya Rahatkar, who praised the efforts of participants and encouraged continued involvement in women’s empowerment initiatives.
A well-known entrepreneur from Sikkim, Rai’s journey reflects determination and versatility. She began her entrepreneurial career with a small home-based catering business, preparing lunchboxes early in the morning. Later, she pursued professional training in hairstyling at two renowned institutions in Mumbai, overcoming personal and financial challenges.
