Chairperson of the National Commission for Women Vijaya Rahatkar has extended greetings to all the women in the country on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
She noted that the country has very strong laws to ensure the safety and dignity of women and advised women to remain confident and move forward while exercising their rights under the law. She added that today, women in the country are getting many opportunities to progress in life. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, the NCW Chairperson underlined that equal participation of women is extremely important for nation-building.
