Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has secured freezing of illegally acquired property worth 9.20 crore rupees in the Amphetamine trafficking case. The office of the Competent Authority and Administrator under the SAFEMA and NDPS Acts has confirmed the orders of attachment issued by NCB linked to a major seizure of 95 kilograms of Amphetamine in October last year.
The operation was conducted jointly by the operations branch of NCB and the Delhi Police Special Cell. It uncovered a clandestine Amphetamine manufacturing lab in Kasna Industrial Area, Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
Investigations conducted so far have revealed that the mastermind is a Delhi-based businessman who was assisted by four other accused, including a Tihar Jail warden and a Mexican national. The syndicate was involved in transnational smuggling of synthetic drugs. All five accused were arrested and are presently under Judicial Custody.
