NCB Busts Major Interstate Drug Trafficking Network in Multi-State Operation

The Narcotics Control Bureau has dismantled a major interstate drug trafficking network in a coordinated multi-state operation. NCB officials, in coordination with the Telangana Police, seized 200 kilograms of ganja valued at around one crore rupees from Nallur village near Ponneri in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu, close to the Andhra Pradesh border.

Six persons have been arrested in connection with the case. Officials said the network operated across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Earlier, on the 8th of March this year, 530 kilograms of ganja had also been seized from two suspects, both natives of Andhra Pradesh.

Investigations are underway to trace the wider network and identify other individuals involved.
