National Teachers Day will be celebrated all over the Country tomorrow. The day is celebrated on the birthday of former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a teacher, Professor at Oxford University and also a philosopher who brought transformational reforms in the field of education in India. On his birthday, 45 teachers from all over the Country, who rendered outstanding services as teachers, will be honoured with an award from President Droupadi Murmu tomorrow.

Two teachers from Tamil Nadu have been selected for the award from Tamil Nadu. Vijayalakshmi, a teacher for 27 years from the Bharathiyar Centenary Government Girls Higher Secondary School, will be honoured during the occasion. Talking to Akashwani, she said that the award is one of the best recognitions for her job as a teacher at Udumalpet, Tiruppur District. The other award winner is Revathy Parameswaran, Principal of the PS Senior Secondary School, Chennai. This CBSE school is an aided management school at Mylapore, Chennai.
